  • Donation for construction of Building for CT Scan Machine at Infectious Diseases Hospital

We have donated LKR 100,000.00 to Engineering Association of Group 92/93 of University of Moratuwa for the construction of Proposed Building for CT Scan Machine at IDH (Infectious Diseases Hospital), Sri Lanka.

CT scan machine, which is very important in assessing the complication and the response to treatment of COVID-19 patients, was allocated to National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) of IDH and the necessity of the machine installation is aroused during this hour of need. Hence this specially designed 16m x 11m (176 m2) building to be constructed at premises of IDH as soon as possible with the voluntary contributed budget from donors.

Engineering Association of Group 92/93 of University of Moratuwa as a professional Association decided to rise for the occasion and support the IDH hospital in this case. Since the Corona (Covid – 19) patients cannot be transported to other hospitals to carry out CT scans, this building has become an urgent & important requirement for IDH and to the country.

Thus, we decided to provide financial contribution to the association in their worthy cause at this critical juncture.
